Oh what about the Youth Ministry Meetings; the fun was beyond description. They had always juicy yoghurt at Monday meetings— most people never wanted to be weaned off it. That was without well-tailored activities that brought the messages of Christ clear to them.
The work of the intercessory group in the church has always being oblivion. The group over the years have helped to maintain the spiritual equilibrium of the church. Some of the dedicated men and women who held the forth from 1993 included: Pastor Emmanuel Nuamah, Mr. Mark Wiafe, Mr. Solomon Aryeetey, Mrs. Betty Aryeetey, Pastor Evans Fosu-Akomanyi, and Georgina Nkonoo.
The Music Department of the Church did contributed a lot to the worship in the church. We all have had occasion when we felt morose and hearing the group ministering in songs lifted the soul. The Leadership of the Church charged Mr. John Bawua Edusei to organize the group in 1993.
In terms of which Department of the Church served as the ‘gate keepers’; it’s the Sunday School Department. It was at the level of Sunday school that many talents are discovered.
LWC was founded with two main visions: Missions and Children Ministry. The church a very effective and efficient children ministry. The team of men and women who worked were extremely dedicated, to say the least. Mrs. Iris Amponsah Efah who directed affairs combined her training as an educationist with her experience in Christian training so well that many children whose parents were not members opted to come into our services.
The Women Ministry had functioned effectively over the years in the church. The Department has been the main voice for the needy in the church. They were described by a section of the church as the ‘wailers’. They loved praying for the church.
The Men’s Ministry exists to promote effective program of activities towards church growth, Evangelism, Visitation and above all ensure the welfare and betterment of the pastor of church.
